Bill Munroe's passion for aviation ignited at a young age, much like the compelling stories of many pilots. Enchanted by airplanes from the moment he first saw them, Bill's dream was to take to the skies. Determined to turn his passion into reality, he was that enthusiastic high school student who planned to join the military right after graduation. Bill pursued his aviation aspirations by attending the University of Kansas, where he could immerse himself in flying while participating in the Naval ROTC program. His dedication paid off when he graduated, received his commission, and demonstrated the aptitude necessary to enter flight school.
